This privacy policy explains how HeyREMVO and the Remy Recall Alexa skill handle information you choose to save or ask about.
Information you choose to provide
HeyREMVO may process information that you deliberately provide, including:
- memories, notes, object locations and lending information;
- questions you ask about saved memories;
- photos or voice input where supported by the HeyREMVO app;
- account-linking identifiers needed to connect supported HeyREMVO experiences, including Remy Recall on Alexa.
How your information is used
Your information is used only to provide the memory-assistant features you request, such as:
- saving a memory;
- finding or recalling a saved memory;
- answering questions about saved items or lending information;
- linking supported HeyREMVO experiences to the same account.
AI processing
The HeyREMVO iPhone app uses OpenAI for AI processing, via a backend hosted on Render. With your permission, text you enter or dictate, relevant memory details, recent question context, and any photo you attach may be sent to OpenAI to understand or retrieve your memories. The iPhone app displays an AI Analysis & Privacy consent prompt before using these AI features. Remy Recall uses Alexa services to handle spoken interactions; Alexa voice processing is also subject to Amazon’s privacy terms. Information supplied through Remy Recall may be processed by its linked memory service to save and retrieve the requested memories.
Storage and account linking
Remy Recall may store memories in a secure backend so they can be recalled later and shared with linked HeyREMVO experiences. Account-linking tokens and identifiers are used only to associate the correct Alexa account with the correct HeyREMVO account.
Passwords, authentication codes and financial account details should not be stored in HeyREMVO or Remy Recall.
Sharing of information
HeyREMVO does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by providers needed to operate the service, including OpenAI (AI processing), Render (backend hosting) and Amazon Alexa (voice interactions and skill account linking). Each provider has its own privacy and security policies.
Your choices
You can choose what information to save, withhold AI processing consent in the iPhone app, or delete saved memories using the controls available in your app. You can also stop using Remy Recall, unlink the Alexa skill, or contact us if you have questions about your information.
